Rafael E. Cabrera-Salinas, MD, FACC, attended Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia/ Cayetano Heredia University in Lima, Peru, and was awarded his medical degree in 2004. Upon relocating to the United States, he conducted his residency at the Henry Ford Health System in Detroit, Michigan (2009-2013). Dr. Cabrera-Salinas received board certification in internal medicine and cardiovascular disease from the American Board of Internal Medicine and is also certified in Adult Echocardiography and Nuclear Cardiology. He remains at the forefront of his challenging specialty via memberships and affiliations with prestigious professional societies and associations, such as the American College of Physicians.
